Style Savvy part 3

First off, happy birthday to my style savvy icon of the day (click here for part 1 and here for part 2), Katy Perry. Secondly, the time has come (the walrus said) to share with those of you who don't already know, that she is my inspiration for Halloween (timed it pretty perfectly if I say so myself, considering my Halloween party is in two days).
So, without further adieu, Katy Perry:

 Sorry, I'm not sorry, because very few people can pull of being this kooky, crazy, sexy, spontaneous, glittery, or fun,
but she manages to make it seem easy.
 {let's face it, we all make mistakes. and might I just say...his loss}

 {only my close friends/Sean will appreciate this picture as much as I do because it/her love of McDonalds (even though, I know EZ and Mere, it's gross and unhealthy) proves that we're kindred spirits}

The photos speak for themselves. Any gal that doesn't
take herself too seriously and enjoys weird nail

Style Savvy (part 2)

Next up on my list of style savvy celebs is none other than the dynamic diva herself, Olivia Palermo.

You might recognize Olivia as the mean girl that works opposite of Whitney Port in the MTV show The City, but regardless of her antics to get to where she is professionally, (in the words of Clueless' Dionne) the girl can dress. Granted, she comes by it honestly from her style icon mother, the help of ceaseless fashion funds, and a freakishly waif-like figure, but it still kind of makes you hate that you love her, right?

Some of my personal favorites include:

Olivia's style isn't just limited to herself, but rather it's amplified by her oh, so stylish counterpart (and German born model...no big deal), Johannes Huebl. Seriously, it's down right annoying how stylish this duo is. Whether they're casually commuting around the city or dressed to the nines for an event, they make high fashion seem easy.

...loving life on the Upper East Side,
 because they can...

Style Savvy (part 1)

Lately I've been a big fan of repetition, or sets or multiples, whatever your desired term is, I'm starting a new series of style savvy ladies that I keep at the top of my ever-growing list of celebs to keep up with.

First, is the one and only Nicole Richie. She's first, partially because I've found her amusing for nearly a decade: As a fan of The Simple Life (and most reality shows) Molls and I even went so far as to reference each other (for years, mind you, including random congratulatory texts for special life events [in Nicole and Paris' actual lives]) as Paris and Nicole and speak in abbrevs (loves it) just because we could. Secondly, (as some are aware) I have a mild infatuation with rock-star bad boys and their glamazon counterparts and Nicole and Joel definitely fit the bill, but more about that later.
{circa the early 2000s in The Simple Life}

{How can this not be amusing?!}

Over the years, Nicole has transformed from a Hollywood bad girl (i.e. LiLo) to style icon with her jewelry/handbag line House of Harlow 1960, and she is now a judge for the NBC show Fashion Star, among other projects.
{a girl after my own heart: having horribly outrageous comfy clothes that your
 friends would never dream of letting you wear in public}

 {like Rachel Zoe, she's always fabulous in fur}

Now onto the next phase of fabulousness, the pairing of Nicole and Joel Madden. Granted, it came as a shock when Joel abruptly dumped tween-queen Hilary Duff for Nicole, a known rebel, only to announce within months that they were expecting their first child, but I'm thrilled to say that as that girl that rooted for them from the beginning, they're still going strong.

{Who needs Angie and Brad when you have this rocker couple? Not I.}

{She even designed a clothing line for Pea in the Pod and
remained boho chic through both pregnancies}

 {Joel, Nicole, Harlow, and Sparrow Madden}

 {Like Hi. hello. How fabulous are they?}

 {Finally made it official on December 11, 2010 [yes, I knew that]}

Rock on
