Happy Friday!

TGIF. I've been dragging this week and getting my days all out of order (Wednesday felt so much like Tuesday I nearly forget my scheduled appointments, and yesterday was a definite Friday...or so I thought). Thankfully, tomorrow really is the weekend, and this calls for some fun!

Happy things:

I went to bed last night singing this for some reason; so there's that.

This newly caught my eye since the ladies of PLL (while annoying because after 4 years you'd think they would've learned to not venture into a dark alley/wooded area/basement/ or warehouse alone) display excellent fashion sense while hunting for clues. Now you, too, can find their wardrobe pieces.

Speaking of fun wardrobe pieces, how fun are these bright blazers (here, here, and here are my favs from GMG's blog post today)?! I'm always looking for ways to make my work wardrobe reflect my youth/fun side while still being appropriate.

February's InStyle mag has the "15 Best Beauty Apps" listed in their print issue (with the fabulous SJP on the cover), so please excuse me while I download and try them all.

Happy weekend, y'all!

Good Enough for G, Good Enough for Me

Confession: I'm beyond addicted to Zara... truly, madly, deeply. It's becoming kind of an issue (as seen here), but after all, you never know what kind of adventures the day might bring. As the late, great Lilly Pulitzer said, "Life's a party; dress like it!" And who am I to argue with Lilly P.?

My latest finds include:

{this bright dress I found courtesy of my girl Giuliana Rancic on insta and is now sold out.}

{this lil beaut i also just purchased}

{the perfect way to color-block all the way through Fall and Winter}

{bright pop of color --Bonus, this is on sale!}

{sassy shoes to tackle any business meeting}

{uhbsessed with this classic. i die.}

{these remind me of funfetti cookies, which makes me happy...and hungry}

{not sure I can pull these off but LOVE them in a similar style
 here on Blake Lively--Bonus, also on sale!}

Any other finds you're dying over?

Oscars Obsessed

I (along with millions of other Americans) watched the oh-so-long telecast of the 85th Annual Academy Awards last night. And like many, many other females (and some males) that watched, I have a few opinions about the coveted fashion of the evening.

 Favorite Couples of the Evening:
{Ben and Jen... loved them all awards season. presh pots}

{Channing + Jenna + bambino on the way = adorable}

{Justin and Jen knocking to cuteness factor out of the park (step aside Brad and Angie)}

Favorite Looks:
 {Amy Adams...gorgeous head to toe}

 {Reese Witherspoon = retro perfection}

 {Jennifer Lawrence... she took a shot before the carpet.. need I say more?}

{Salma Hayek is maybe my most favorite look of the evening}

{Naomi Watts can do no wrong}

{the sequin divas of which I'm partial to Adele and Kristin}

Last, and sadly least, my Least Favorites/Underwhelmed:

 {Anne Hathaway... why? just why?}

 {Melissa McCarthy, You're hi.lar.ious. but... not your most flattering ensemble}

Who were your favorite hits and misses??

Style Savvy (part 2)

Next up on my list of style savvy celebs is none other than the dynamic diva herself, Olivia Palermo.

You might recognize Olivia as the mean girl that works opposite of Whitney Port in the MTV show The City, but regardless of her antics to get to where she is professionally, (in the words of Clueless' Dionne) the girl can dress. Granted, she comes by it honestly from her style icon mother, the help of ceaseless fashion funds, and a freakishly waif-like figure, but it still kind of makes you hate that you love her, right?

Some of my personal favorites include:

Olivia's style isn't just limited to herself, but rather it's amplified by her oh, so stylish counterpart (and German born model...no big deal), Johannes Huebl. Seriously, it's down right annoying how stylish this duo is. Whether they're casually commuting around the city or dressed to the nines for an event, they make high fashion seem easy.

...loving life on the Upper East Side,
 because they can...

Stay-at-home career gal..?

"A girl should be two things:
classy and fabulous."
Coco Chanel

Some of you may know that it's one of my life's goals to be a famous blogger (much like The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond). Others of you may know that I would also like to, one day, write a book of some kind (also, think Ree Drummond).

About the fabulous, Mid-Western blogger above that I thought I'd never be able to find a replacement for.. she now has competition.

Stepping into the ring to battle it out for "Anna's Favorite Blogger" (a title I'm sure everyone's dying to claim...ha) against The Pioneer Woman is this lovely lady below, Maegan Tintari of LA. (both of these ladies have published books or books in the works)

She runs a successful daily blog that includes fashion, D.I.Y (my new obsession), and more. She is a beauty expert and style editor, and she even gives hair tutorials complete with instructional videos.
{anyone who you pin these shoes is a friend of mine}

Maegan's icing on the cake, if you will, was that she even has a special tab on her blog for her nails... I mean seriously, I think we're soul-mates.

Here are a few of my favorite of her nail masterpieces:

{and yes, I'm also freakishly obsessed with her pink, morganite, 3-carat wedding ring.. don't believe me, check out my subtle tribute to it on pinterest}

Okay, Okay.. there really isn't any comparison; it's like oranges and apples:

Pioneer Woman
-Rancher
-Country
-Entertainment
-Cowboy Husband
...Love Maegan
-LA/City
-Fashion
-Beauty
-Businessman hubby

Final Score = a tie to cater to the split personality of the only judge (me)
