Think Pink

Happy October! For those of you who've been living under a rock, it's officially National Breast Cancer Awareness Month! In honor of this special cause, I'm currently rocking my pink jeans (similar here), YSL lipstick, and Essie Fiji nail polish at work. Lately I've been all about pink all year long, but I'm especially excited to rock it throughout October in fun, fall-y ways.

This cause has always been a favorite of mine, being that I'm a woman (duh) and that it has effected so many people that I care about. I'm delighted to have one of my all time favorite celebs  shedding her sparkly spotlight on the cause too. The one and only, Giuliana Rancic.
Again, for those of you who don't know (or aren't as obsessed with E! News or G & B like I am), G was diagnosed with breast cancer in summer of 2011 while trying to get pregnant via IVF. Her "miracle baby" literally saved her life because she wasn't old enough to technically need a mammogram yet. (Learn more about G & B by clicking here or here or watching their new season premiering tomorrow on the Style Network). This, and other inspiring stories about young women beating this terrible disease, inspired me to be bright pink. Bright Pink is an organization founded by a spectacular young lady, Lindsay Avner, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in her early 20s and was determined to stay healthy and fabulous while still kicking cancer's butt. G and L are now close friends inspiring millions of ladies to go out and get checked before the recommended age of 40.

 {G and L are proving that you can be bright pink and stay glamorous and in control.}
So, what are you waiting for? Go out, get checked and be bright pink too! In the meantime--check out all sorts of fab beauty products (here, here, here, here and here) that donate part of proceeds to this wonderful cause.
